Once fixed, the catcher proved its worth, functioning brilliantly on my AR-style rimfires, preventing scattered brass and saving me the time of collecting spent shells. Its great price also makes it a steal compared to other alternatives that often require modifications.

Its compact size does lead to the shells tumbling out into the open action if you lay it down with the port up. To solve this, I simply disconnect the unit before laying it down, and it’s no longer an issue. An upgrade to consider could be deeper netting to prevent such scenarios. However, until I spring for a pricier version, this one’s doing a great job.
