Secondly, a full MK9 9mm setup benefits from a CMMG proprietary gun system known as Radial Blowback. This system secures precise pistol-caliber operation without the use of a heavy bolt, spring, or buffer to aid in the cycling process.
Once a round is fired, the leftover gas pressure is pulled back into the chamber, which triggers a delay that forces a specialized carrier bolt to rotate. Thus, slowing down the action and allowing the gas pressure to dissipate in the chamber before seating a fresh round.

We say that because the innovations that CMMG integrated into the 9mm Banshee profile, for us, have really underpinned its tactical viability. From your general plinking session to PCC precision shooting, it performs admirably and is certainly fun to shoot. But in terms of its innate utility as a piece of home defense ordinance is where it really proves its worth.
You owe it to yourself to take this sleek AR-platform Uzi-style SBR for a spin at the range.
Foreseeable Drawbacks: The CMMG MK9 is a bit of a special case. This caliber-specific LRG offers exact tolerances and an exceptional build quality that’s designed for seamless integration with any number of 9mm-chambered upper assemblies, but having said that, we highly recommend that you mate the MK9 Stripped Lower with a CMMG MK9 Banshee upper receiver.
If you have a 9×19 NATO barrel, you will need to purchase one stamped “9mm Luger.” That’s a bid drawback if you were looking to pair a lower with a previously purchased 9×19 NATO.
In other words, do your research to make sure your upper is compatible with this lower.
Also, this lower is compatible with 9mm ammo, so it can only be mated with a 9mm upper—including the aforementioned MK9 Banshee—which will require a regulatory tax stamp and a lengthy wait, so understand what you’re purchasing before you purchase it.
What’s more, you may have to re-adjust your upper and lower, as fitment issues have come up when mating a CMMG LRG with a 9mm upper receiver. This issue, however, is rare and usually due to user error.

Forged Aluminum
