Sometimes our tools don’t pass the quality assurance inspection for what we would sell at retail. Maybe some of the lettering on the tool didn’t come out right after casting. Perhaps it has a little bit of rust on it. But they still work and function the way they’re supposed to. These blemished units are the M4 Tools that didn’t quite look the way we wanted them to, but they’re still good to use.

I cannot tell that this is a blemished unit for one. I have only used it once so far, but it sure seems to clean up the fillet on the bolt very well and in short order. Also, using a 30 caliber round patch on the “M-4” raised letter end of the tool, it cleaned up the inside of the bolt carrier well, certainly better than before with q-tips and wood dowel rods, etc. The firing pin wasn’t very carbon fouled so I cannot assess this function of the tool.

Great tool for the ranger bag or work bench! I can see the small “blemishes”. It’s a tool for cleaning! Not bothered by it at all I’ll take that discount all day! Thanks CAT for the great deal!

Whatever MINOR “blems” might be on this thing have absolutely zero affect on its function. Works like a charm, what used to take several tools and lots of scraping is not as simple as a few turns of your wrist. Great product!

It doesn’t look blemished to me. Works great to clean all of the carbon buildup off of the BCG components! Especially the sleeve for the bolt. Cannot recommend enough!

I can see minor surface imperfections but rather than detract they actually make it easier to hold onto. In no way is the functionality affected by the “blemish”. Thanks for the great deal on a well thought out tool. Pretty slick.

I’ve been searching for this type of design for cleaning BCG components for years! Works great for cleaning firing pins and bolts of hardened carbon deposits. As for blems, mine had a few minor scratches on the surface.
