The 15 Best Online Gun Stores: Resellers & Manufacturers [New & Used]
Tired of driving to a local gun store only to find limited selections and high prices? We don’t blame you!
Hello, 21st century…
If you’re looking for the best online gun stores, there are many that offer a wide variety of products that you can buy and have shipped to your home.
While there are some caveats to buying online (firearms will need to be transferred to an FFL and a background check will still need to be performed), it can be a great way to find the selection you need at a reasonable price. Plus, there’s a wide variety of new brands, accessories, ammunition, and gear to explore. You can use a verified platform like Arms Directory to ensure you’re buying from a licensed firearm dealer.
Our personal experiences with these stores have been nothing short of outstanding.
In this guide, we’ll break down the best online gun stores by category, helping you find exactly what you need at a price that makes sense.
1. BEST PRICES AND IN-STOCK: Palmetto State Armory (PSA)
Palmetto State Armory
Palmetto State Armory is without a doubt, our favorite go-to online gun store. They not only offer some of the best prices online, but they seem to have stock at times when nobody else does.
While Palmetto State Armory (PSA) is one of the best online gun stores, they’re also known for the firearms they manufacture. Their AR-15’s are considered some of the best entry-level AR’s on the market, and they’re hecka affordable.
Having gotten to know them directly over the years, one of the things I greatly appreciate about PSA is that they don’t sell directly to the government. They believe in arming the people to protect itself against the tyranny of government.
Say what? They pass on tens of millions of dollars in sales a year to keep the people armored and free from tyranny. That’s 2A embodied in true fashion right there!
2. EVERYTHING BUT ACTUAL FIREARMS: Optics Planet
Optics Planet
Optics Planet is the “everything store” when it comes to the gun world. You can find an insane selection of optics, ammunition, armorer’s tools, cleaning kits, gunsmith tools, upper receiver parts, and more.
Optics Planet is by far one of the biggest online gun stores out there. You can find just about everything with one caveat. The only thing they don’t sell is actual firearms, which includes lower receivers.
For everything else, you can pretty much find it on Optics Planet.
Their site is super user friendly, it works fast, and their shipping is the best in the industry.
I’m guessing the reason they don’t want to sell the actual firearms is to avoid the liability and extra work connected to background checks and FFL transfers. But that’s okay. You can still get a lot of great deals and they’ll ship them directly to your door.
3. THE BIG BOX STORE: Brownells
Brownells
Brownells has been around for a long time and they’re one of the most respected and trusted online gun stores. They’re one of the best places to pick up firearms, gun tools, and accessories.
Brownells is also one of the best online gun stores, they’re one of the first places I go to look for prices.
They carry almost every handgun and rifle on the market, and more often than not, have stock ready to go.
You won’t always get the best bargain at Brownells, they charge close to MSRP, but you can find some pretty sweet deals and rebates on their site.
If you buy from Brownells you can trust you’re buying from a reputable dealer. If you have any issues or need to return anything, they’re easy to work with.
4. BEST AMMUNITION DEALER: BattleHawk Armory
BattleHawk Armory
BattleHawk Armory is an up-and-coming online gun store and while they do have a great selection, they are mostly known for their deals on ammunition.
BattleHawk Armory is a great place to shop for deals on ammunition.
Their prices beat or match about 85% of the prices online. It’s worth the look—they know they’re new to the game and they’re ultra competitive to win new business.
When it comes to ammo, they carry all of the big name brands like SIG, Federal, Winchester, Nosler, Fiocchi, and Hornady, but they also carry a variety of speciality/hard-to-find brands like Marlin, Speer, NOVX, and Tela Impex.
5. LARGEST SELECTION OF GUNS: Kentucky Gun Company
Kygunco
The Kentucky Gun Company mainly goes by the name Kygunco, the abbreviation they use for their website.
Kygunco has a huge selection of guns, everything from rifles to handguns to black powder to Class III. They do a great job of stocking new firearms, and their pricing is very competitive.
Pro-tip to save more money: you can save 3% by using their “text a check” method of payment. This helps them save on credit card processing fees, and they pass those fees onto you.
They’ve been around for a while, so you’ll have no issues finding your FFL in their system.
6. MOST STORE LOCATIONS FOR PICKUP: Sportsman’s Warehouse
Sportsman’s Warehouse
If you want to buy a gun online and avoid the transfer fee with another FFL dealer, you can buy from Sportsman’s and pick the gun up in their store.
Another great place to buy is Sportsman’s Warehouse. The nice thing about them is that if you buy a gun online, you can pick it up in one of their 145 stores without paying a transfer fee (most FFL’s charge $50-$75).
They seem to always be in stock, probably because they sell so many guns, so they have to order a lot of them.
They have a great selection, and they’re usually one of the first sites to carry new guns. We also consider them one of the best online gun stores.
7. BEST FOR USED GUNS: Guns.com
Guns.com
If you’re looking to save money by buying a used gun, Guns.com is a great place to start. Their selection is pretty hard to beat.
One of the things I really like about Guns.com is that you can often find limited edition guns, like the Trump 2024 Glock 43X, still for sale there.
Another thing I like about the site is that many firearms for sale are already modified with accessories and they sell for less than the retail price.
Guns.com’s team appraises and inspects each of the firearms that gets listed on the site. It’s a good place to look if you’re shopping for a deal.
8. PRECISION OPTICS AND GUNS GALORE: Primary Arms
Primary Arms
Primary Arms is known in the firearms industry for making some solid optics, but they also offer a wide variety of guns and accessories on their site.
Primary Arms is a favorite of ours because their site does a great job of recommending related products when doing searches. For example, if you search for a Glock 43X, you’ll get a lot of great 43X upgrades or accessories recommendations. Some sites have a hard time doing this very simple task.
The optics are also worth checking out, they seem to be best known for their 5.56 hunting riflescope.
Despite that fact, they have one of the best selections of guns on the web. Whatever I’m looking for, I always check their prices because they’re likely to have stock.
I also like to use Primary Arms for 5.56 NATO ammo. It can be hard to find sometimes, but they seem to always have plenty of stock on a wide variety of options.
9. BEST FOR HIGH-END & NFA PARTS: Rainier Arms
Rainier Arms
If you’re looking for really high-end stuff or NFA parts, like silencers and SBR’s, you should check out Rainier Arms.
Rainier Arms has a stellar reputation in the industry among firearms enthusiasts, because they seem to have the hard to get stuff.
In addition to all that, they also make a wide variety of their own AR’s, barrels, triggers, muzzle devices, and more.
They also provide an array of gunsmithing services, such as engraving, Cerakoting, barrel pinning, slide optic cuts, muzzle device installs, etc.
10. MANUFACTURER DIRECT: SIG Sauer
SIG Sauer
SIG Sauer is one of the most renowned and popular weapons makers in the world. They have some of the best and most respected handguns, rifles, optics, ammo, and suppressors.
While many stores carry SIG Sauer products, did you know that you can buy from them direct?
Why would you do that?
Well, first off, you have access to blemished units, such as the ROMEO2 1X30. The last time we checked, it was listed $200 below what you could buy it for off Amazon. There’s some significant savings there.
Buying direct from a manufacturer can open up savings you wouldn’t see elsewhere.
They also offer a wide variety of gear and components for reloading. They’re worth checking out.
11. JUST FOR AR-15 STUFF: AR15 Discounts
AR15 Discounts
AR15 Discounts is one of my favorite sites to shop from. They focus almost exclusively on AR-15 related products and often times have really difficult to find stuff.
AR15 Discounts is my go-to shop whenever I’m looking for AR specific stuff. Their site seems to be one of the fastest and easiest to navigate, which is a big plus for me.
If you like to build AR’s, you can buy an array of upper and lower kits, as well as optics, rail accessories, tools, and grips. They carry a lot of brands in this space.
They have a sister company called Dirty Bird USA, they specialize in selling everything else gun related. For example, you can buy Glocks on Dirty Bird, but they’re not listed on AR15 Discounts.
You can enter monthly giveaways for some of their AR’s, which are typically pimped out with SIG scopes, Savior rifle bags, etc. I’m a sucker for free stuff.
12. BEST IN STOCK SELECTION: GrabAGun
GrabAGun
If you’re looking for some rarer or unique finds, there are a plethora of great options on GrabAGun.
When it comes to finding guns in stock, a great place to start is GrabAGun.
You can find your typical SIG’s, Glocks, and CZ’s, but they also carry derringers, lever action pistols, single shot, and bolt action pistols. There’s really quite a large selection. I’m quite impressed every time I go shopping there.
They’re also a great place if you’re looking to buy bulk 5.56 ammo. Their 500- or 1000-round boxes are often in stock.
13. BEST SITE FOR BUILDERS: Aero Precision
Aero Precision
Aero Precision is our go-to spot for parts when it comes to building AR’s from the ground up.
If you’re someone that wants the experience of building AR’s from scratch, the M4E1 (AR-15) and M5E1 (AR-10) from Aero Precision are solid starting places.
Aero Precision is known as the builder’s choice for AR’s. They make quality products and a lot of times you can find steals in their clearance section.
Better yet, you can find blemished units on their site and often save an extra 20-30%.
14. SNIPER’S HIVE: Euro Optic
Euro Optic
Euro Optic is a great place to look for high-end, hard-to-find precision rifles, scopes, and laser rangefinders.
If you’re really into precision shooting, Euro Optic is going to carry everything you need.
They carry brands you won’t find on most other sites, like Desert Tech, Accuracy International, Tikka, and Bergara.
You can also call in to ask questions, their reps are really knowledgeable and can help you find what you need.
15. BEST DURABLE MIL-SPEC WEAPONS: Bravo Company USA
Bravo Company USA
If you like American made gear, Bravo Company is one of the best places to shop.
Bravo Co is known in the AR world for making top-notch products like their complete uppers, furniture, and triggers. But to top it off, they also offer many other popular and in demand products on their site.
They’re a hardcore 2A company. One of their policies is that they only allow law enforcement agencies to purchase the types of products available to private individuals in that same city or state. So, if a responsible private individual cannot buy one of their products in a certain state, then they will not sell that product to the government of the same state.
That’s what we call by the people, for the people.
