When CAT Outdoors was acquired by LikeMind Brands, Inc. in 2019, I took over running the business. At the time, CAT was a products-only company — two patented AR-15 cleaning tools in service with U.S. Navy SEAL units, Customs and Border Protection, FBI trainees, and tens of thousands of civilian shooters across the country. Good hardware, no content.
I led the push to change that. Over the past seven years I’ve built out CAT Outdoors into a full review and content platform alongside the original products business, launching 30+ tactical gear and firearms products into the market and publishing 60+ articles along the way. That expansion is what turned CAT from a tool company into an industry source for gear reviews and product insights.
My background is operator, not journalist. I’ve spent seven years selling hundreds of thousands of firearms products to some of the most demanding end users in the country, which shapes how I approach reviews: be thorough (sometimes to a fault), focus on the things buyers actually want to know, and cover gear honestly whether it’s great or not. Every product deserves a fair look. My job is to give readers the insights they need to make the right buying decision — not to tell them only the best stuff exists.
